Research
Sound research does not begin with a questionnaire. It begins with a question sharp enough that the answer will change what someone does.
GRI Collective conducts applied social, economic and market research across Albania and the Western Balkans. We combine quantitative and qualitative methods, and we are explicit about what our evidence can and cannot support — including when a finding is indicative rather than conclusive.
What we do
- Quantitative research. Household, business, beneficiary and public opinion surveys, with sampling designed for the precision the client’s decision requires.
- Qualitative research. In-depth interviews, focus groups and case studies that explain the reasons behind the numbers.
- Policy and regulatory analysis. Assessment of legal and policy frameworks, comparative review of practice in other jurisdictions, and analysis of implementation gaps.
- Market and sector studies. Demand, competition, pricing and value chain analysis for organisations entering or repositioning in a market.
- Feasibility and needs assessments. Structured evidence on whether a proposed intervention or investment is justified, and under what conditions.
- Secondary research and evidence reviews. Systematic synthesis of existing studies, administrative data and international literature.
How we work
- Define the question precisely. We narrow a broad brief into questions that can be answered with the time and budget available.
- Match method to question. Design, sample and instruments chosen for the decision at stake, with the trade-offs explained before fieldwork begins.
- Collect with quality control. Trained field teams, supervision, back-checks and documented protocols, so results can be defended.
- Report with honest confidence levels. Findings separated from interpretation, limitations stated, and recommendations traceable to evidence.
Who we work with
