EU & Donor Funding Advisory

EU & Donor Funding Advisory

EU and donor funding is competitive, procedurally demanding and unforgiving of weak preparation. The difference between a funded proposal and a rejected one is usually visible long before submission.

We support institutions, companies and civil society organisations across the funding cycle — from identifying the right instrument to managing the obligations that follow a successful application. Our teams work with EU instruments, bilateral donors and international financial institutions active in Albania and the Western Balkans.

What we do
  • Funding strategy and opportunity mapping. Which instruments genuinely fit an organisation’s mandate, absorption capacity and co-financing position — and which do not.
  • Proposal development. Intervention logic, work plans, budgets, risk analysis and annexes prepared to the formal requirements of the call.
  • Partnership and consortium building. Identification of partners, definition of roles and preparation of the agreements that govern joint implementation.
  • Readiness assessment. Honest review of eligibility, financial and administrative capacity before an organisation commits effort to an application.
  • Grant and contract management. Implementation support covering procurement, eligibility of costs, reporting deadlines and amendment procedures.
  • Audit and compliance preparation. Documentation, controls and evidence trails organised so that verification does not become a crisis.
How we work
  1. Assess before we advise. We tell clients when an opportunity is not worth pursuing. A weak application costs more than the time it consumes.
  2. Build the proposal around the intervention. The project design comes first; the application form is how it is expressed, not what it is.
  3. Write for the evaluator. Proposals structured against the published award criteria, so that each requirement is demonstrably met.
  4. Prepare for implementation from the start. Budgets, procurement plans and reporting arrangements that will hold once the contract is signed.
Who we work with

Ministries, agencies and municipalities; universities and research organisations; civil society organisations; private companies pursuing grant or blended finance; and consortia preparing joint applications.
