Capacity Building & Training
Training is easy to deliver and easy to forget. Capacity is what remains six months later, when the consultants have gone and the work still has to be done.
We design and deliver capacity development for public institutions, donor-funded programmes and private organisations, combining instruction with the procedures, tools and coaching that turn new knowledge into standard practice. Programmes are built around the tasks people actually perform, not around a generic curriculum.
What we do
- Capacity and training needs assessment. Analysis of the gap between what roles require and what staff can currently do, distinguishing skill gaps from process and incentive problems.
- Curriculum and materials development. Modules, case studies, exercises and reference guides in Albanian and English, tailored to the institution’s own procedures.
- Delivery of training programmes. Workshops, seminars and multi-session programmes for technical staff and management, in person or online.
- Coaching and on-the-job support. Accompaniment during the first real applications of new skills, which is where most training either takes hold or is abandoned.
- Training of trainers. Internal capacity to run and update programmes independently, so the institution is not permanently dependent on external providers.
- Evaluation of training results. Measurement of what changed in practice, not only of participant satisfaction.
How we work
- Start from the job. We observe how the work is done today before deciding what should be taught and to whom.
- Design for application. Every module is built around a task participants will perform within weeks, using their own documents and cases.
- Deliver in manageable cycles. Shorter sessions with practice between them, rather than intensive courses that leave no room for absorption.
- Embed and hand over. Materials, procedures and trained internal facilitators transferred to the institution at the close of the programme.
Who we work with
Public administration bodies and agencies; municipalities; donor-funded programmes with a capacity development component; universities and vocational providers; and companies building technical or managerial capability in their teams.
